ENGAGE - INSPIRE - EXCITE Middle School Girls in STEM Subjects and Career Pathways

The Women in STEM Conference is designed to inform and inspire middle school girls to become the next generation of scientists, engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists. The conference is a collaborative effort, co-sponsored by the American Association of University Women (AAUW) Redding, CA Branch, Shasta College, and the Shasta County Office of Education.  Girls in 6th, 7th and 8th grades select four interactive, hands-on sessions presented by more than 20 professional women in STEM fields, designed to engage, empower and inspire them in STEM careers. 

Women in STEM Conference 2025 will be held March 29, 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM, at Shasta High School in Redding, CA.

WHY WE DO IT

AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership.  Membership is not by invitation.  There shall be no barriers to full participation in the organization on the basis of gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability or class, nor in any of our activities or events.  The event venue, Shasta High School, is an ADA compliant institution.
